WWE fans are anxiously waiting for the Royal Rumble event that takes place in less than 20 days at the end of January. Following the Rumble and the continued road to WrestleMania will be the Elimination Chamber premium live event that takes place on Feb. 18. This event will be held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
According to a new report by Fightful Select, we could be seeing a mixed tag team match take place at Elimination Chamber. It would be the team of Beth Phoenix & Edge taking on Rhea Ripley & Finn Balor.
Edge has had an ongoing feud with The Judgment Day. The very group he started but was kicked out once Finn Balor joined. Since then, the two had an “I Quit” match at Extreme Rules which Phoenix attempted to save her husband. However, she received the brunt of the attack herself. Both Edge and Phoenix have not been on WWE programming since.
Phoenix has also come to her husband’s aid at a Raw event in August and the two teamed up to face Maryse and The Miz this time last year at the 2022 Royal Rumble.
Fightful notes that this has been the plan for the tag team match at the February event since November. However, keep in mind several of the plans that were on the books have been moved up, scrapped, or changed so anything could still happen.
