Purrazzo takes on Susan while Kiera Hogan battles Rosemary on this week’s IMPACT

IMPACT Wrestling is gearing up for their biggest event of the summer and a constant on their pay-per-view schedule since 2005 – Slammiversary.

While the men of IMPACT already have matches on the card, the Knockouts haven’t received any just yet. That doesn’t mean there aren’t tons of possibilities and IMPACT is known to showcase all of its women every chance they get.

Scheduled for this week’s IMPACT, two Knockouts matches are ready to go as we will see Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo battle her former insurance policy, Susan.

On last week’s episode of IMPACT, Purrazzo had enough of her alliance with Susan and Kimber Lee. The latter who she has been with longer and the both of them coerced the Susan character away from the portrayal of Su Yung or Susie. Purrazzo wasn’t happy that the pair didn’t get the job done at Against All Odds to bring home the Knockouts Tag Team Titles.

Purrazzo was recently featured speaking on the history of the Knockouts who revolutionized women’s wrestling. She speaks highly on legends such as Gail Kim, Madison Rayne, and Mickie James.

Since her debut with the company over a year ago, Purrazzo has held the Knockouts Championship two times and has decimated the entire IMPACT locker room. Although she doesn’t have an opponent yet for Slammiversary, whoever it is that will end up getting in the ring with her will undoubtedly provide an enjoyable match to witness. One possible choice is Taylor Wilde who has not had the chance to go after the title since returning to IMPACT and coming out of retirement.

A match that is shaping up for a potential spot on the Slammiversary card is for the Knockouts Tag Team Championships. Over the course of the past few weeks, Havok and Rosemary have joined together and have been taunting the champions – Fire ‘N Flava.

Last week, Kiera Hogan found herself in a trash bin which ended up having a trash bag labeled “Mickie.” This poked at WWE who released Mickie James in April and sent her belongings back to her in a trash bag. This became quite viral and received a lot of negative pushback on WWE who issued apologies from Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

From being thrown into the trash bin, Hogan will seek revenge on the humiliation as she faces Rosemary this week in singles competition.
