Quinn McKay is finally in the ROH Women’s Championship Tournament.
Thanks to a fan vote, the rookie underdog has taken the last spot in the tournament. McKay won the vote by a landslide at 95 percent.
She will have to face someone that she is quite used to, Mandy Leon in the first round. McKay faced both members of The Allure, Leon and Angelina Love, within the past few months. She tried to earn her spot in the tournament that way, but after Leon used brass knuckles to pick up the win, Board of Directors Maria Kanellis Bennett left it up to the fans to decide.
Maria has also banned Mandy and Angelina from each other’s matches moving forward. So although McKay is facing Mandy once again, Angelina will not be at ringside to interfere. McKay vs. Leon will take place the weekend of Aug. 7 on ROH TV.
This weekend starts the tournament with three first-round matches. Miranda Alize faces Alex Gracia, Mazzerati takes on Nicole Savoy, and Rok-C battles the veteran Sumie Sakai. The finals will take place on Sept. 12 at Death Before Dishonor.
The rest of the schedule is as follows:
Women’s Division Wednesday – Aug. 4
Allysin Kay vs. Willow
ROH TV – Aug. 8
Mandy Leon vs. Quinn McKay
Trish Adora vs. Marti Belle
ROH TV – Aug. 14
Holidead vs. Max the Impaler
