We now have four women qualified for the upcoming 2022 Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
On the June 17 episode of SmackDown, Raquel Rodriguez defeated Shayna Baszler in a qualifying match to earn her spot. She will join so far Lacey Evans from SmackDown along with Liv Morgan and Alexa Bliss from Raw.
The fifth contender will be decided on the June 20 episode of Raw as Becky Lynch will be going against Asuka in a qualifying match. The sixth contender will be decided on the June 24 episode of SmackDown as Shotzi takes on Aliyah.
Currently, the ladder match is being advertised as a seven-woman bout.
Baszler tried to secure her spot in the MITB match after she delivered a knee to Rodriguez and received a near fall. She would try to lock in the Kirifuda Clutch but Rodriguez backed them into the corner of the ring to fight out of it. Rodriguez followed up with a Tejano Bomb for the win and victory.
Earlier in the show, Natalya was interviewed by Megan Morant in regards to her attack on Ronda Rousey last week and her upcoming championship shot at Money in the Bank. Natalya stated that her Sharpshooter breaks bones, tears tendons, and humbles champions.
