We have reached the last RAW before Hell in a Cell and the first RAW since the WWE Draft shook up the rosters. SmackDown’s shakeup and new arrivals were all but ignored on Friday, so let’s hope that RAW fairs better.
What is advertised for tonight’s show is perhaps the biggest match in Lana‘s career as she challenges Asuka for the RAW Women’s Championship. Lana won a Dual-Brand Battle Royal last week to earn this number one contender spot. With the next pay-per-view coming up on Sunday, Asuka currently doesn’t have a match on the card.
Will Asuka still be champion or will Lana shock the world? What would this have in store for the RAW Women’s Title at Hell in a Cell, assuming there will be a match at that event?
As far as potential storyline development for a new addition to the red brand, Alexa Bliss may make her debut in the Firefly Funhouse. Bray Wyatt will have a new segment, and with Bliss’ current involvement with The Fiend, maybe she will make an appearance?
Other new additions to the red brand include: Nikki Cross, Naomi, and Lacey Evans.
Will we hear from the Women’s Tag Team Champions? Last week, Shayna Baszler was the final push to send her partner Nia Jax over the top rope eliminating her from a chance at the RAW Women’s Title during the Battle Royal. The new duo of Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke seems to be hungry for their first taste of gold in the company. Will they perhaps make a challenge soon for the tag titles?
