The RAW Women’s Championship is on the line tonight as Liv Morgan finally gets her shot at the title against the champion Becky Lynch.
Morgan became the number one contender on the Nov. 8 episode of RAW where she won a Fatal Five-way. Over the past month, the two have made things very personal between them and it all culminates tonight as Morgan gets her first televised singles championship match in her WWE career.
Lynch has been a champion since returning from maternity leave at SummerSlam in August where she became SmackDown Women’s Champion. In October, she and Charlotte Flair traded titles when they were drafted to the opposite brands they were champions on.
As Morgan has previously stated, she has nothing to lose and everything to gain heading into her match tonight. Last week she gained momentum heading into tonight by leading her team to defeat Team Becks in a 10-woman tag team match.
Today being Dec. 6 marks 17 years since Trish Stratus and Lita made history by main eventing RAW. Last week, Morgan’s outfit during the contract signing with Lynch was a look inspired by Stratus. Morgan posted her text between herself and Stratus from earlier today with a little commentary provided by Bayley.
Main Event taping prior to RAW will be Dana Brooke facing Tamina in a 24/7 Title Match.
As always, feel free to discuss tonight’s show below.
