RAW Women’s Championship match could main event WrestleMania

It is being reported by WrestleVotes from their sources that the RAW Women’s Championship match could main event the first night of WrestleMania.

As previously mentioned, WrestleMania is “too big for one night” and will take place over April 4 & 5. RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler may be the main event on night one despite prior rumors that it would be either Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre. It has been confirmed that the event will be taped this week.

Further information provided in the post states that there could be upward of 16 matches, eight per night. There are currently 13 matches scheduled with three being for the women. A Women’s Tag Team Championship match is likely to be added.

If this is true, then the women have been in the main event of every pay-per-view since November’s Survivor Series with the exception of the Royal Rumble. At Survivor Series, the main event involved Shayna Baszler and Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat along with Bayley. This match was highly criticized.

If a women’s match were to main event, do you think this would be the correct one?
