Renee Paquette will co-host a “Friday Night SmackDown Kickoff Show” on Oct. 16.
Paquette will team up with former WWE announce partner, Booker T. The special is part of FOX’s season two celebration of SmackDown on FOX.
The announcment comes as a suprise as Paquette left WWE in August. She is, however, still under contract to FOX, which is the reason for her involvement in the show.
A statement on WWE.com reads as follows;
In celebration of the second season of FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN on FOX, FOX Sports’ WWE personalities come together for a special FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN KICKOFF SHOW on Friday, Oct. 16. Longtime broadcaster Renee Paquette and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T host a bevy of WWE Superstars and special guests live from the brand new “WWE ThunderDome” in Orlando.
Since her departure from WWE, Paquette is yet to make a statement on her future, but until then it’ll be great to see Paquette back on WWE programming.
