WWE developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling is to close down, according to F4WOnline.com.
WWE has reportedly informed its television partner in Florida, Bright House, that it will cease production immediately and stop filming new episodes. Currently, there are three more episodes of FCW due to air.
The website reports that the FCW talent will be moved to Stamford, Connecticut, where WWE’s headquarters are based, while they figure out their next step.
Over the years, FCW has been the training ground for several prominent Divas including Eve, the Bella Twins, Alicia Fox, Naomi and AJ, as well as past Divas such as Serena, Angela Fong and more.
The roster currently consists of nine female talents including FCW Divas Champion Raquel Diaz, aka Shaul Guerrero.
[update]UPDATE: According to PWInsider, sources have indicated that FCW is not closing down, rather the television series which airs on Bright House Network in Florida is ending. According to the report, WWE plans to move the taping of FCW’s TV series to another location (possibly Orlando) and to another network.
The report continues that talent have been informed that “there is nothing to worry about”.[/update]
