Longtime Ring of Honor talent Maria Kanellis and Mike Bennett might soon be looking for other opportunities.
According to Wrestling Observer (via Lords of Pain), the couple’s deals with ROH have expired. Negotiations have been ongoing for a few months, but there is a belief that they will start talking to Lucha Underground or TNA soon.
Maria and Mike were married last year. Kanellis has been working with ROH since late 2011, following her 2010 WWE release. She has also competed for FWE, winning their Women’s Championship twice.
Maria will step back into the ring for ROH on January 24th, taking part in an Intergender Tag Team match that will team her with Mike Bennett and Matt Taven to take on ODB and The Briscoes. This follows up on a surprise appearance by ODB at ROH’s last set of TV tapings.
Would you rather see Maria in TNA or Lucha Underground?
