Could another Divas title belt be in the works?
The Wrestling Observer (via Lords of Pain) is reporting that the WWE is interested in creating a Divas Tag Team Title, which would be the first new belt for the main roster women since the introduction of the Divas Title in 2008.
This wouldn’t be the first time the WWE had an active women’s tag division: in 1983, the Women’s Tag Team Titles were introduced when NWA Women’s World Tag Team Champions Velvet McIntyre and Princess Victoria joined the WWE. The belts were eventually vacated in 1989.
Three years ago, WWE.com ran an article advocating for the return of the tag titles. The division would be even better suited for them now, with the surplus of Divas on the main roster as well as those training at NXT.
Do you think the WWE should introduce Divas Tag Team Titles?
