Christmas is a holiday where time with family and friends is incredibly important. WWE agrees with sentiment, so they gave the roster and staff of SmackDown the day off.
As mentioned previously in our Raw Christmas Eve spoilers piece, both Raw and SmackDown were pre-taped to allow for WWE staff to spend time with their loved ones.

-The Good Brothers & The New Day defeat SAnitY & The Bar in an eight-man tag team match – The Usos are on commentary.
–Carmella & R-Truth have a dance break to Christmas songs while dressed as Mrs. and Santa Claus respectively. Daniel Bryan interrupts and claims the pair of dancers, the actual Santa and Mrs. Claus, and former WWE Champion AJ Styles aren’t real. Bryan talks about the environment, Truth thinks it’s a joke, Bryan calls Truth’s career a joke, Truth reminds Bryan that he could win the Rumble from his number 30 entry spot and take his WWE Championship at WrestleMania, Bryan says Truth can’t even count to 30, Truth counts to seven before another dance break happens, Bryan puts the LeBell Lock on Truth before leaving with the title held high.
-Mustafa Ali defeats Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas.
-Miz TV with Shane McMahon. Miz calls Shane his bestie, Shane promises change and new Superstars are coming to SmackDown Live, the pair talk about tagging together before Shane finally accepts.
-Jeff Hardy defeats Samoa Joe by count out.
-Rusev defeats Shinsuke Nakamura to become WWE United States Champion.
