Take a look back to Hell in a Cell in 2016 where Bayley and Dana Brooke went one-on-one. This was Dana’s first (and so far only) singles match on a pay-per-view and Bayley’s first. 2016 was also the year both women officially debuted on the main roster.
This match came about as Dana and Bayley started their own feud. Brooke originally debuted with Emma but the latter suffered an injury which led to Brooke being placed as Charlotte Flair’s protege. Brooke and Flair were originally in a feud with Sasha Banks before turning their attention to Bayley.
Brooke received a win against Bayley on the Oct. 17 episode of Raw. At Hell in a Cell, however, Bayley was able to take down Brooke with a Bayley to Belly to get her first singles victory on a main roster pay-per-view. Her first tag team main roster victory came beforehand as she teamed with Sasha Banks to defeat Flair & Brooke at Battleground that same year.
This year’s Hell in a Cell will take place on June 5 and at the time of this writing has one women’s match listed on the card. It will be Asuka challenging Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship.
