After confirming the news that former WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn will compete in the Mae Young Classic, it has now been revealed that Australian NXT Superstar Rhea Ripley will make her second appearance in the tournament.
During last summer’s Mae Young Classic, Ripley defeated Miranda Salinas in the First Round before being eliminated by Dakota Kai in the Second Round.
The Advisor reported the news of Ripley return the Mae Young Classic with the WWE adding the following:
The hard-hitting Ripley, who began wrestling as a teenager and competed in Japan before joining NXT, is considered one of the strongest women in the WWE PC weight room. In addition to a wide arsenal of power moves, Ripley boasts wicked striking ability, which can be traced back her extensive background in soccer.
