Although the dust may have settle from NXT TakeOver: WarGames, Rhea Ripley still hasn’t forgotten that she was betrayed. Luckily for Ripley she still pulled out a win with the help of Candice LeRae’s but the loss of Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai did leave her in a handicap.
Kai turning her back on her not only her teammates but her long time friends has sparked concern through many in the NXT women’s division. After targeting her closest ally and former tag team parter Nox at WarGames, she had to face LeRae last week.
That match resulted in a disqualification when Kai used the knee brace of the fallen Nox as a weapon. Tonight her antics may not work as she has Ripley to battle.
Will Ripley achieve the retribution to what happened to her team at WarGames? Her big push as of late says yes, but with Kai’s heel turn it may not be a clean victory.
Ripley firmly stated that she was gunning for Shayna Baszler’s title next but maybe Kai will be factored into this?
