The last WWE Draft took place in October and Rhea Ripley had the thought that she was going to be a part of it. Although no one was included in the draft from NXT this go around, it isn’t unheard of for NXT talent to be called up to another brand. Ripley had the following to say when she spoke to Lilian Garcia on Chasing Glory.
“I was waiting for it and then it didn’t happen.”
Ripley continued, “I would like to go to Raw or SmackDown, but at the same time, there are so many people in NXT that I haven’t faced yet and I feel like there is so much more that I can still do. I would love to wrestle Candice [LeRae], especially now that her whole persona has changed. I would love to wrestle Indi Hartwell, Shotzi [Blackheart], I want to wrestle Raquel [Gonzalez] again. I would love to do a stipulation match with her.”
The thought of Ripley moving to a different brand was further speculated after her recent title match with Io Shirai. The two embraced in a hug after a match of the year candidate signally that maybe her time on the black and gold brand had come to an end. She reinforced on last week’s NXT that this was not the case.
As of yesterday, she has officially been added to this year’s WarGames match on Team Shotzi.
What else would you like to see Ripley do in NXT? Or do you think she should move to SmackDown or RAW? Leave your thoughts below.
