We finally have an answer! Charlotte Flair will be challenging Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania in Tampa, Fla. For the past few weeks, Ripley has been waiting for Flair to answer her request.
After Flair won this year’s Royal Rumble match, her decision on who to face at WrestleMania had one more name added to it. She has faced both Becky Lynch and Bayley more times than most, but Ripley is a new battle. Ripley issued the challenge and Flair has now accepted it.
Her answer came after the hard fought battle between Ripley and Bianca Belair. Ripley would retain her title after Belair took her to her limit. Flair didn’t waste time and attacked the NXT Women’s Champion from behind. After the initial attack, Flair stated, “So, I thought about it….and I will see YOU at WrestleMania.”
She delivers a Natural Selection before picking up the NXT Women’s Title. A title she hasn’t held since 2015 and her subsequent move to the main roster. After tossing the title on top of the champion, The Queen exits the ring.
She leaves one last calling card prior to making her way up the ramp. She turns to Belair and drives her into the steel steps. Could we maybe see Belair added to the WrestleMania match at some point?
What were your thoughts on what transpired? What do you think of Ripley vs. Flair at WrestleMania? Should Belair be added to the match or should it stay a one-on-one? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
