Rhea Ripley Wins 2023 Royal Rumble From Number One

The winner of the 2023 Royal Rumble is Rhea Ripley and she will be heading to headline WrestleMania 39. She entered the Rumble match at the number one position and with her win, she is one of only four people who have won the Rumble from the number one spot. Ripley last eliminated Liv Morgan who she started the match with in the number two position.

Some moments from the match in case you missed them along with the list of entries –

Rhea Ripley entered in the number one position despite Liv Morgan wanting to, but Morgan still went the distance as she was the last eliminated and started at number two.

B-Fab entered her first match on the main roster but was eliminated in 36 seconds but she would not be the quickest elimination. She was also the first eliminated overall.

Three members of NXT were involved in the match – Zoey Stark, Indi Hartwell, and NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez.

Damage CTRL teamed up throughout their time in the match to eliminate four to five people between the three of them. They continued to control the match until Becky Lynch entered. Lynch and all three members of Damage CTRL would leave the ring (not over the top ropes) to brawl. Eventually, Lynch would eliminate IYO SKY and Dakota Kai but then Bayley eliminated Lynch. Liv Morgan would immediately eliminate Bayley right after.

Asuka made her return and she had different music and made her way to the ring with a new mask. She revealed her face to have her evil Asuka (Kana-like) makeup on. (This got the biggest reaction from the crowd)

Chelsea Green made her WWE return. She did not break her wrist this time, however, she would break a record – to be the fastest woman ever eliminated at 4 seconds.

Doudrop has been dropped….Piper Niven has returned.

Shotzi and Natalya also returned from injury.

Michelle McCool was the only legend in the match, she entered the match from the front row where she was sitting with her family.

Nia Jax returned in the number 30 spot. Although it has not been confirmed at this time if she has returned with a contract. She did state while in the match that she was back.

Final Four – Nikki Cross, Asuka, Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley

The final moments of the match had Cross get eliminated first in the final four. This followed up with Asuka spraying the mist in the eyes of Liv Morgan on the apron. Ripley eliminated Asuka with Morgan still blinded. Morgan hit a codebreaker on Ripley but she hung onto the ropes. Still unable to see, Morgan tried to release Ripley’s grip from the ropes, but it would be Ripley who hit a head scissors to eliminate Morgan and win the match.

The match lasted 1:01:07.
