Riho made history on Oct. 2 when she became the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion by defeating Nyla Rose. This was the television debut episode for AEW Dynamite on the TNT Network. Riho may be riding high at the top of the division right now but it has been confirmed that her first title defense will be next week on Dynamite on Oct. 16.
She will be defending her title against Dr. Britt Baker, someone whom many thought would have been involved in the inaugural title match. The two were on the same side of the ring this week as they teamed up in a tag team bout where they faced Bea Priestley and Emi Sakura. Baker would pick up the win for her team via submission.
