Ripley Named #1 Contender For Women’s World Title Ahead of Raw Netflix Premiere! Stark advances in IC Title Tournament

Fresh off Saturday Night’s Main Event, where Liv Morgan successfully defended her Women’s World Title against Iyo Sky, WWE Raw wasted no time re-affirming Ripley isn’t over Morgan just yet. Add in a competitive triple threat match for the Women’s Intercontinental Title and growing Judgment Day tension, and there’s plenty to break down!

We caught up with Liv Morgan backstage, laughing off her victoryover Iyo Sky. Meanwhile, Finn Bálor was far from celebratory, stewing over how Judgment Day left him out to dry. A stressed Finn asked where they were during his beatdown, but Liv shrugged it off, saying Finn should focus on the tag titles—he’s got this, right? Raquel Rodriguez, in a perfectly timed jab, reminded Finn of his famous line: “When you listen to Finn, you win.” Liv wasn’t done adding fuel to the fire. She teased a “surprise” for Raquel and Dominik Mysterio before making her exit,.

Liv Morgan made her way to the ring alongside Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez, looking smug after retaining her title over Iyo Sky. Dom, as always, grabbed the mic and was met with his usual response boos. Liv took over, declaring 2024 as her year and reminding everyone that she’s not just the greatest Women’s Champion, but also the “hottest and most iconic leader” WWE could ask for. The megaphone was a very nice touch!

Rhea Ripley stormed down to the ring. Rhea wasted no time cutting Liv off, demanding that this nonsense end once and for all. Ripley revealed that Adam Pearce made it official—she’s next in line for the title. The nightmare delivered a scathing warning, telling Liv to get ready because her title reign is about to end, leaving her with nothing but her chicken tender slut.

Intercontinental Title Tournament: Zoey Stark vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Kayden Carter

From the opening bell, Carter and Stark tried to gang up on Raquel, but Raquel shrugged them off like it was nothing. After a missed pin attempt, Zoey rolled to the apron and ate a massive boot from Raquel. Kayden quickly followed up with a gorgeous suicide dive, taking out both opponents.

Back from commercial, Kayden had Raquel locked in a Sharpshooter, but Zoey broke it up with a wicked DDT while also slamming Raquel’s legs into the mat. Stark’s aggression was on full display as she delivered a rope-assisted leg drop to Zoey for a near fall, only for Raquel to drag Kayden outside and bounce her off the apron.

The chaos continued to escalate: Zoey launched herself onto Raquel at ringside, Raquel threw Zoey halfway across the ring, and Kayden hit a dropkick. The moment of the match? Really cool German suplex combo from Zoey, who locked up Raquel’s  mid-powerbomb setup and sent Kayden crashing down with her. Damn. That was awesome.

Zoey wasn’t done. She delivered a brutal (like actually ow!) Z360 to Kayden Carter and scored the decisive pinfall victory.

Winner by pinfall: Zoey Stark

Zoey Stark continues to prove why she’s a force to be reckoned with, picking up an impressive win in the triple threat. It was a really fun triple threat and damn did that Z360 look wicked. Props to Liv for retaining this past Saturday and Rhea for staying as over as she is. Onward to the Netflix premiere!
