Last night, RISE Wrestling announced their next event, Pride & Joy. The upcoming show is scheduled for Jun. 30 in Chicago, Illinois.
According to their press release, “the word RISE means so much more to so many communities.

It is a day to come together, to embrace what makes us all different, unique and to unite everyone in one place, with one love. Jun. 30 is one of the largest Pride Parades worldwide, and it happens right here in Chicago. In 2018, an estimated 1 Million people attended or Marched in Chicago’s Pride Parade.
Jun. 30 will be a day without judgment, a day all will truly feel love on the RISE.
Jun. 30, we want to bring our talent and fans together again in Chicago. We want to open our doors, our arms and our hearts to the members of the LGBTQ+ Community in Chicago “
Some queer fans have said they felt unwelcome at wrestling events in the past. So, having a show on the same day as the Chicago Pride Parade is a great opportunity to extend an invitation to those fans and send the message that wrestling is for everyone.
Pride & Joy is an age-appropriate show; you must be 21 or up to enter. The event will take place at 5 PM CST at the Logan Square Auditorium in Chicago, IL. It will also stream live on Fite TV.
