Ring of Honor has made a huge announcement for its future. In a post on social media, ROH has confirmed that the Final Battle event on Dec. 11 will be not only its last event in 2021 but for the first quarter of 2022.
The news in the post below states that the company needs to make changes to its business operations and is working on internally reimagining ROH. They hope their fans will continue to show loyalty and patience as they “reconceptualize.” ROH anticipates returning to live events in April for the Super Card of Honor event.
The message did not confirm the status of ROH’s talent, however, in a few reports, it is said that they will be released from their contracts by the end of the year. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful confirms this in the post below and PWInsider and WrestleVotes make a comment as well. The talent will be considered free agents after the end of the year as their contracts will not be renewed and if their contract goes beyond that they’re being paid through March.
