Rok-C is set up to defend her ROH Women’s World Title for the first time on ROH TV this weekend.
Ever since becoming the inaugural champion after a tournament over the summer, Rok-C has had all eyes on her. This may be her first defense set for ROH TV but she has defended the title numerous times so far on the indie scene. She has successfully defended against names such as Killer Kelly, Laynie Luck, Promise Braxton, and most recently Trish Adora.
She has upcoming title matches against Holidead and another against the winner of the upcoming Willow vs. Mandy Leon number one contenders match. But first, Rok-C has to get through Gia Scott.
Scott has a lot of pent-up frustrations and she is hungry for gold and to prove a point. Appearing in ROH over the summer on Women’s Division Wednesday, Scott faced Alex Gracia in a losing effort. Following that match, she was booked in a tag team bout alongside Allie Recks as they defeated Sumie Sakai and Willow.
Despite her showing up in ROH at the right time, she was not selected for the ROH Women’s Title Tournament. She feels as though that was her shot and she should have not only been involved in the tournament – but it should have been her hand raised for the gold and not Rok-C’s.
Scott is familiar with holding gold as she is a three-time MCW Women’s Champion from MCW Pro Wrestling in Joppa, Maryland. She was most recently seen on Women’s Division Wednesday in a tag team with Vita VonStarr as they faced Willow and Trish Adora. You can view that match below.
