Over the weekend, WWE had its live events take place in Salisbury, MD, and Atlantic City, NJ. During these events, the team of Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler dominated the show. They faced the newly formed team of Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah on both nights. Rousey and Baszler would see victories in both matches.
WWE posted a clip of the match on its social media page which had Rousey in control against Aliyah as she took time to mock Rodriguez’s signature pose. Rousey is currently playing out a suspension angle after she attacked a referee following her loss at SummerSlam. She returned on the Aug. 13 episode to pay her “fine” with a huge bag of money. Adding to this, she crossed paths with Baszler on the way out and let her know that she isn’t being the “killer” that she once was.
Rousey would address the “fine” she paid further on a social media post where she said that maybe WWE could use that money to pay for the “budget cuts” and bring back some asses for her to kick.
Baszler will be facing the SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan on Sept. 3 at Clash at the Castle in Cardiff.
As for Rodriguez and Aliyah, they are now in the semi-finals of the Women’s Tag Team Tournament as they advanced by defeating Xia Li and Shotzi on the Aug. 12 episode of SmackDown.
