Ronda Rousey not advertised for events after WrestleMania

WWE is known for changing their plans at the eleventh hour but it is starting to appear that Ronda Rousey is taking a break after WrestleMania. She is currently not advertised for any events past the post-WrestleMania Raw on April 8th.

As we reported back in January, Rousey does plan to take a hiatus and start a family with husband Travis Browne at some point in the near future. She is under contract with WWE until 2021 after signing a multi-year deal in 2018, but that doesn’t necessarily include regular television appearances. Even if she does take a break, she will be back in some shape or form. Rousey previously responded to speculation on a possible post-Mania hiatus by questioning others’ “authority to speak on plans for my uterus”.

The lack of advertising for Ronda Rousey appearances after WrestleMania may suggest that she will be losing the Raw Women’s Championship at the pay-per-view. As of right now, she will defend her title against Charlotte Flair. Becky Lynch will be added to the match if she defeats the Queen at this Sunday’s Fastlane pay-per-view.

Rousey has recently faced backlash from fans, particularly with regard to her promo ability. As exclusively reported by Diva Dirt, Rousey appears to have worked herself in to a shoot during a Twitter exchange with Becky Lynch. These may be factors in Rousey potentially taking a hiatus from the ring earlier than she may have originally planned.

Diva Dirt will keep you updated with any more news regarding her status with the company. Let us know what you think about Ronda Rousey taking a break after WrestleMania.
