Ronda Rousey may appear in Mortal Kombat 11

Ronda Rousey may be appearing in Mortal Kombat 11 as the voice of Sonya Blade, according to leaked documents. The Nerd Mag first reported on the leaks, initially as rumor, but since as fact. The information originated with Reddit user eon95, who claimed it came from a leaked email.

The email details the rollout plan for the game’s release on Thursday, January 17th. The so-called “Mortal Kombat Day” will feature Rousey as a part of the live stream presentation. The company is evidently preparing a trailer to reveal Ronda Rousey as the voice of Sonya Blade.

Sonya Blade is one of the protagonists of the Mortal Kombat series, first appearing in the original game in 1992. She has previously been voiced by The Wonder Years‘ Olivia d’Abo, Battlestar Galactica‘s Tricia Helfer, and Jennifer Hale, who was recognized in 2013 as the most prolific voice actress in video games. The leaks, which seem to originate from the internal emails of NetherRealm Studios, also included the game’s box art.

Rousey has previously voiced only herself in video games, appearing in EA Sports’ UFC video game series and WWE 2K19. Her other acting experience includes a guest appearance on NBC’s Blindspot and featured roles in The Expendables 3, Furious 7 and Mile 22. Mortal Kombat 11 will launch on April 23 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.

Ronda Rousey is preparing to face Sasha Banks at the Royal Rumble Pay Per View for the Raw Women’s Champion. Rousey will be putting her streak for the second longest reign as Raw Women’s Champion on the line against Sasha Bank, who is looking to win her fifth WWE Raw Women’s Championship on Sunday, January 27, 2019. Again, Rousey must make to WrestleMania to break the record for longest reign. We will have to see how that match turns out in two weeks.
