Ronda Rousey to sign her WWE contract at Elimination Chamber

On this week’s Monday Night Raw (Feb 12th), Raw General Manager announced that at WWE’s Elimination Chamber, Ronda Rousey would sign her Monday Night Raw contract.

This week’s episode of Raw also saw Bayley pick up a big win over Sasha Banks in her hometown of San Jose.

Bayley looked to end thing early on with various pin covers but Banks slipped out of them. Bayley switches gears and takes Banks down with a deep arm drag and dropkick. Banks shoves Bayley to a corner and unloads fists of fury. She tries to go for the Bank Statement but Bayley rolls out the way. She then decides to target Bayley’s left arm and tosses her to the outside floor. Banks invites Bayley back to the ring but then knocks her back to the outside floor with a dropkick off from the apron.

Banks tosses Bayley back in the ring, where Bayley manages to get Banks to a corner and land in shoulder thrusts to the midsection. Banks avoids a charging attack and uses the top rope to inflict more damage to Bayley’s arm.

Back from the break, Bayley tries to fight out of the submission but Banks lands the double knees on Bayley’s weaken arm. The Superstars fight for control from a corner that ends with Bayley taking Banks down with a strong clothesline.

Bayley stays in control with a Lou Thesz Press and strikes on Banks. Side suplex from Bayley sends Banks to the apron that is followed up with a stunner off the middle ring rope for a two count.

Bayley runs the ropes and hits a kick to the face. She then goes to the top rope but misses an Elbow Drop. Banks capitalize to lock in the Bank Statement but Bayley manages to break free by crawling to the bottom ropes.

A forward roll from Bayley sends Banks to middle turnbuckle. After regrouping herself, Banks begins to climb to the second ropes but Bayley meets her there to hit the Bayley-to-Belly for the three count and win.

Post-match, a stare down began to the two Superstar that was interrupted by Nia Jax who laid out both Bayley and Banks with a Samoan Drop.

Jax was then questioned as to why she attacked Bayley and Banks. Jax explained that both Banks and Bayley brought Asuka to her limit and that she managed to destroy them in seconds. Jax ended things by saying that she is the only woman who can end Asuka’s streak.

During Raw Fallout, criticized Jax for attacking her and Banks while their backs were turned, pointing out that both have beaten Jax before. Bayley then says she can’t wait for Asuka to destroy Jax at Elimination Chamber.

WWE also highlighted Asuka’s undefeated streak and joinery from NXT to the main roster.

Later in the evening, Alexa Bliss and Mickie James met backstage to agree to put their differences to the side to take on the team of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.

During the tag team match, James and Rose started things off fighting for control. James takes Rose down with a shoulder block and dropkick. Rose makes the tag after a taking James down with a back elbow shot. Deville slips behind James to keep her grounded with waist lock takedowns.

James begins to set up for a comeback with a combination of kicks and running offense. She tags in Bliss and the two take Deville down with a double back elbow shot.

Bliss follows up with double knees to the midsection for a two count. She tags James back in, who lands a running kick to Deville’s head. Deville gets to her feet and charges James to a corner but James fends Deville off with a high kick.

A small distraction from Rose allows for Deville to gain control over James. Rose tags in and locks in an abdominal stretch to James but she counters out with a snapmare.

James ducks and running knee strike and takes Rose down with a neck breaker. She tries to make a tag to Bliss but Absolution prevents this by using the numbers game to distract Bliss and knock her off the apron.

Rose hits her finisher to pick up the win for her team. Post-match, Absolution started a two-on-one attack on James but Bliss makes the save and chases them away.

In a post-match interview, Absolution explained why they have the biggest advantage going into the first-ever Women’s Elimination Chamber match.

And finally, Ivory’s WWE Hall of Fame video package was also introduced, highlighting her time with GLOW and making it to the WWE.
