Now that Ronda Rousey is officially a WWE Superstar reports surrounding her wrestling training have surfaced.
ProWrestling.com is reporting that ESPN’s Romona Shelburne spoke with the former UFC Bantamweight Champion to discuss her arrival in WWE.
According to Shelburne, Rousey revealed that she’s been training in secret at the WWE Performance Center late at night when the facility was inhabited by very few people.
This was done in order to keep a tighter wrap on her eventual WWE debut, however, word did manage to leak that Rousey had been working on her pro wrestling skills at the WWE PC.
While filming the movie “Mile 22” in Atlanta, Rousey made frequent trips to Orlando to work out in the ring with Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Natalya, to prepare her for her eventual WWE in-ring debut.
As for her current status, Shelburne noted Rousey is in “close to fighting shape” and her first WWE match is expected to come at WrestleMania 34.
Right now rumors are circulating that Rousey, with a partner, will face Stephanie McMahon and her husband Triple H. Other reports state that she may face Charlotte for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
There’s also now a new rumor according to Cageside Seats, and reported by multiple sites, such as PW Torch, reporting that the comments made by women within WWE regarding being upset over Ronda Rousey’s appearance at Royal Rumble are not a work.
Cageside Seats is also reporting that even though Rousey said she’s ‘full-time’ her schedule will be closer to Brock Lesnar‘s.
