Former WWE Diva Rosa Mendes sat down with DS Shin of Ring the Belle for her final wrestling interview ever. Mendes talks everything from her developmental days in OVW and FCW, to working with stars Beth Phoenix, Maryse, Melina, and Naomi.
She comments on her time with Total Divas, her 12 year career, and the pivotal point in her life as she moves forward in her studies of Christian ministry.
Shin brought up that the fans favorite match of Mendes was when she faced Naomi on WWE Superstars.
On working with Naomi, Mendes said –
“She is a dream to work with that girl. What makes her good is that she is a giver. Some matches people want to beat you up and I always agree with everything because I am super nice…. She knew that she would get more over if she gave me something. So if I hit her back a little bit, if I made the match look close it would put her over. And I think a lot of wrestlers they think, ’okay so I’m just going to beat this person up and I’m gonna look real tough’ but you just beat up somebody that’s not even strong. But if you beat up somebody that looks strong it makes you look tougher so give. If you’re babyface let the heel do really crappy things to you so you can look awesome and be the hero at the end. It’s hero versus villian.”
