The May 27 episode of SmackDown has a rematch set between the SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and Raquel Rodriguez.
The two met on the May 13 episode when Rodriguez was the one to answer Rousey’s open challenge for the championship. The match set for tonight states that it is a Championship Contenders match so the title will not be on the line, however, if Rodriguez can defeat Rousey she would earn a title opportunity.
Rodriguez’s answer to Rousey’s challenge two weeks ago sparked a few interests from the likes of Shotzi, Aliyah, and others in the locker room. Shotzi confronted Rodriguez last week and the two had a match but Shotzi ended up on the losing end.
Currently, there is no women’s match set for Hell in a Cell on June 4 from the SmackDown brand. Could Rodriguez pull out a win against Rousey to get a title shot for the event?
