The former ROH Women’s World Champion Rok-C, now going by the name of Roxanne Perez, has won her first match in WWE. Perez made her debut on Friday’s NXT: Level Up in a match against another new face, Sloane Jacobs.
Jacobs attempted to gain her first win in NXT after falling to Nikkita Lyons in her debut match in March. She wasn’t able to capitalized on Perez being dropped throat first on the top rope. Perez hit a Code Red for the victory.
The debuting Perez wasn’t the only one to be victorious in her first singles win on Friday’s show. A face we have seen a handful of times, Tatum Paxley, won her first singles match over Kiana James. She has a previous tag team win alongside Ivy Nile.
Paxley is determined to get in the good graces of Diamond Mine and impress Ivy Nile. With Nile at ringside looking on, Paxley would put away James with a suplex and standing senton. Nile seemed indifferent by the result.
Defeating Kiana James was one thing, but Paxley has a huge task coming on this week’s NXT 2.0. On April 20, she will be facing Natalya. Natalya came to NXT last week and has the newcomers in her sights.
Sarray vs. Tiffany Stratton is also scheduled for the April 20 episode.
