Ruby Riott qualifies as the second member of Team SmackDown for the upcoming Survivor Series match. She joins Bianca Belair at this time as teammates. There are three more spots left for the blue brand whereas the RAW Team has already been assembled.
Belair qualified last week against Natalya and Billie Kay in a Triple Threat. Natalya received another shot after complaining earlier in the day to Adam Pearce. She feels she should have never been put in that Triple Threat and she should be on the Survivor Series team regardless because she is the “best of all time.”
When Pearce explained that he was about to go ahead and add her to the Survivor Series match, she became further irritated and didn’t want to just be handed it. After Zelina Vega and Riott approached the situation, Natalya suggests another Triple Threat qualifier between the three of them.
The three participated in the match and had a few interesting pinning/submission predicaments. The match was decided in one of these unique moments as Natalya had Vega in the Sharpshooter at the same time that Riott had an armbar applied. Natalya didn’t realize that Riott was behind her with the armbar locked in. She released the Sharpshooter when Vega wouldn’t tap. Vega would then tap to the armbar that Riott still had locked in, making Riott the winner.
What do you think of Riott being added to the blue team? Do you think that Natalya will get a third shot in another Triple Threat next week? Who do you think will be the last three members?
Survivor Series takes place on Nov. 22.
