On this week’s Rampage, Ruby Soho won her Owen Hart Cup qualifier match as she defeated Robyn Renegade.
Robyn pulled all the tricks out to try and qualify for the tournament including having the help of her twin sister Charlette. During the match, they pulled the switcheroo with some Twin Magic while Robyn was stuck in the corner. Charlette entered the match and was a split second from pinning Soho and winning the match for her twin. Charlette ended up exiting the ring before rolling underneath as Robyn took her rightful place back in the bout.
Shortly thereafter, Soho planted Robyn on the mat to secure the victory. Soho makes the fifth woman to qualify for the tournament. She joins Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida, and Red Velvet who have already stamped their spots. On the April 20 episode of Dynamite, a sixth woman will qualify as Dr. Britt Baker takes on Danielle Kamela.
Also during Rampage, it was confirmed that Marina Shafir will get her chance at the TBS Championship on next Friday’s Rampage. Jade Cargill will be defending her title in the midst of her undefeated streak currently at 29-0 as she attempts to secure her 30th victory.
As a reminder, this Saturday on April 16 at Battle of the Belts II, Thunder Rosa will be defending the AEW Women’s World Title against Nyla Rose in the main event. This will be Rosa’s first defense since winning the belt from Baker in March.
