The first-ever Superstar Spectacle aired today on the WWE Network. This event was held to celebrate and recognize India’s Republic Day. This is a holiday to celebrate the country’s Constitution which was put into action in 1950. The event had five matches on the card and one with the women.
The women’s match was tag team action and was the debut of Sareena Sandhu. She teamed up with one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair. They faced the team of Natalya and Bayley.
Flair started the match but then it quickly went to Sandhu. After some exchange between Sandhu and Bayley, the Role Model quickly tagged in Natalya. The veteran seemed confident as she took on the newcomer.
The action spilled on the outside where Bayley took focus on the debuting talent and targeted her leg. Once Sandhu was back in the ring Natalya tried to secure the win by applying the Sharpshooter. Flair then stormed the ring and broke the hold with Natural Selection. Sandhu then took advantage and pinned Natalya in the center of the ring.
Sandhu does have some work on the indies under the name Samara. She has worked matches for Women’s Wrestling Revolution, RISE, SHIMMER, and IMPACT Wrestling. She had a match in 2018 against Allie for the Knockouts Title at a One Night Only event.
Big congratulations for a successful debut for Sareena Sandhu for her big debut win. Hopefully, we get to see more from her soon.
