Sasha Banks‘ future with WWE is still unknown. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, she and the company are currently at a stalemate. Banks has been on hiatus since the Raw after WrestleMania.
It was previously rumored that she was unhappy about having to drop the Women’s Tag title at the big event after such a short reign
Banks is one of the various wrestlers with such grievances with WWE, something that has become quite normal as of late. Banks has seemingly received the short end of the stick throughout her multiple championship reigns. She is a four-time RAW Women’s Champion with a combined total reign of only 82 days.
According to Meltzer, WWE is saying that Banks wants to sit out the rest of her contract. As Wrestling Inc. mentioned, per the report, she could have additional time added to her contract for missed time working.
The upcoming pay-per-view event, Money in the Bank, is normally held in the late summer. This year, the show will take place a few weeks after WrestleMania.
This is similar to what former WWE superstar, Neville, had to endure. At this time there is no word on when her contract is slated to end.
Next week, Alexa Bliss will announce the participants for both the men’s and women’s ladder match. Banks is currently scheduled to appear at the event, but it’s hard to imagine this will all be sorted out the next three weeks.
