WWE has uploaded a Playback with Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair has they take a look back at their historic WrestleMania 37 main event match. On Night One of last year’s WrestleMania, Banks & Belair would make history in so many ways both individually and collectively. History for themselves, for the fans, and for society. A match that will be talked about for years to come and many would consider as the match of the year in 2021 regardless of gender.
As the two former rivals sit down to rewatch their match, they both admit it will be weird to watch it together but also exciting. Banks admits she very rarely will watch her matches back. Both say they haven’t watched the match since right after they had it last year.
They go over their entrances and the moment directly after the bell where both women soaked in the moment and the emotions were flooding. Iconic moments were talked about from everything including Belair hoisting Banks over her head and up the steel steps before tossing her back inside the ring and her memorable hair whips. In addition to Belair winning her first championship in WWE on the Grandest Stage of them All and in the main event, she says both she and Banks walked out as winners that night. Banks added that this moment was more than just them, it was for the future.
Both Banks and Belair will be fighting once again for championship gold at this year’s WrestleMania but not against each other. Belair will have a chance to become the Raw Women’s Champion as she faces the only other woman to win in a WrestleMania main event, Becky Lynch.
Banks will be teaming up with Naomi to try and become a three-time Women’s Tag Team Champion as she battles in a Triple Threat. Their opponents are Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan and the current champions Queen Zelina & Carmella.
