For the first time ever, the SmackDown Women’s Title will be on the line inside Hell in a Cell. The upcoming event takes place on Oct. 25 and Sasha Banks wants to face her former best friend for the title. The deck will be stacked for Bayley as her longest reign as SmackDown Women’s Champion may finally have an end date.
On SmackDown tonight, Banks finally got herself a one-on-one match against Bayley for the title. As many predicted, the match would end up in disqualification.
After Bayley caused the DQ which allowed her to retain her title, Banks snapped and used the steel chair. She faceplanted Bayley onto the chair in the corner before she wailed away on the back of the champion. Banks would then put the chair around the neck of Bayley with every intent on taking her out the same way she did to her several weeks ago.
Bayley was able to escape before Banks came crashing down on the chair and rolled her way out of the ring.
Sasha will be entering her third Hell in a Cell match. This will make her the only woman to have been in all of the Hell in a Cell matches in the history of the company. She challenged for the RAW Women’s Title in both of the prior matches losing to Charlotte Flair in 2016 and then Becky Lynch in 2019.
It has been rumored that this match will be the main event, however, WWE has not confirmed it.
