WWE Superstar Sasha Banks added another amazing achievement to her already impressive resumé after starring in ESPN’s advert for the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship.
Banks appears in the vignette as a portal-hopping cyborg who with the help of some fancy and futuristic technology kick starts this year’s college football national championship. The game featuring Georgia vs Alabama starts at 8 p.m. ET tonight airing on ESPN and streaming live on the ESPN app.
Speaking to Variety, Banks said it was an honor to be part of the vignette:
“It’s been such an honor, I feel like everybody who has been working on the set, and the whole team have been so incredible… to walk in and to just feel so welcome, and just to see everything, and I was just like, it was amazing. I love the outfit, I love the concept, and it just fit me so well.”
The role comes after Banks starred as Konska Reeves on the Disney+ Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian, which saw her in the final-round ballots for the 73rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
Recently WWE announced Sasha Banks is to miss 6-8 weeks of in-ring action due to a foot injury essentially ruling her out of the Royal Rumble on January 29.
