Update:
It is being reported that there are “rumblings” that a secondary women’s championship is coming to AEW.
Andrew Zarian of MatMen Podcast has posted this news on his social media account. Without going too much into detail about what type of women’s title (singles or tag team) it may be, Zarian answered a reply who questioned if the hashtag for TBS was a clue. Currently, both Dynamite and Rampage are being aired on the TNT Network but reported back in May, both shows will be moving to TBS in 2022.
AEW was founded at the start of January 2019 and since the promotion started airing Dynamite on TNT an AEW Women’s World Championship has been the only title for the women. It is currently being held by Dr. Britt Baker who is the fourth woman to hold the title since its inception. Baker will be defending her title tonight against Ruby Soho at Dynamite Grand Slam in New York.
