WOW’s Selina Majors on the women’s evolution and training new blood

Selina Majors, otherwise known as Bambi in her early years at WCW and various southern indie circuits, has been with GLOW and WOW since the beginning.

Majors, however, has cemented herself as a legend in women’s wrestling, with over 20 championship reigns, including the Carolina Championship Wrestling Tag Team Championship, which she won with Lisa Moretti after defeating Team Blondage at 2005’s “A Tribute to Starrcade”.

Still in the wrestling industry after over 30 years of dedication, Majors has a lot to speak on when discussing the trials and tribulations women had to overcome to get where they are, today.

Diva Dirt’s Kristen Ashly got to speak with Selina Majors before the debut of WOW on AXS-TV, tonight.

First, Majors was asked how she felt about the debut, and if she ever had been in a televised match prior to WOW.

The women’s evolution is in full swing, and Majors has played a huge part in the formation of many women’s careers. Majors touched briefly on the obstacles she had to overcome to do what she loved to do.

Majors spent a lengthy tenure at GLOW as well as WOW, spending a typically unheard of length of time with one promoter, David McLane. Majors described how she met McLane, and how they have formed a friendship, since.

Though Majors will probably see a good amount of time in the ring, this season, she also spent a great deal of time training the “WOW homegrown” women. She was asked who she has trained, where she spent time discussing WOW’s “The Beast”, who reminds her of Chyna.

Watch Majors and all the women of WOW in their debut on AXS-TV, tonight at 9 p.m. EST.

Will you be watching WOW, tonight?
