Serena Deeb halts Hikaru Shida from reaching her 50th win

Hikaru Shida headed into Dynamite with one big goal in mind. On Dynamites two year anniversary show, Shida was looking to become the first woman in the promotion to make it to 50 wins. Her opponent, however, was the woman of a thousand holds – Serena Deeb.

Deeb has been on the shelf for the past few months due to an injury, but she was back and ready to go. The final moments of the match have Shida hitting the Falcon Arrow but only getting a near fall. Deeb rakes the eyes of Shida which allows her to hit Detox. She then gets Shida into the Serenity Lock which causes the tap out and the win for Deeb.

After the match, Deeb leaves the ring to go get the trophy at ringside that was for Shida’s 50th win. Deeb nailed Shida over the head with the trophy as the crowd delivers the boos.

A secondary title was announced for the women on tonight’s Dynamite. It will be called the TBS Championship and there will be a tournament to crown the winner. Dynamite is moving to TBS in January 2022.

The AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker had a backstage segment talking about the new title.

For this Friday’s Rampage, a one-on-one match was announced between Jade Cargill and Skye Blue.

Matches taped for Elevation include:

Ruby Soho vs. Emi Sakura

Penelope Ford vs. Notorious Mimi

Tay Conti vs. Dani Mo
