AEW has just made it official on their social media that ring veteran Serena Deeb is now with the company. Deeb has spent the past 15 years in this industry and most recently was a coach for the WWE talent at the Performance Center. She was let go amid the company-wide cutbacks as a result of the ongoing health pandemic.
Prior to joining WWE as a coach, she participated in the 2017 Mae Young Classic. She defeated Vanessa Borne in the first round before losing to Piper Niven in the second.
Deeb also spent prior time with WWE as a member of The Straight Edge Society in 2010. That faction was short-lived. Since then she has performed through many organizations on the indie scene including SHIMMER and SHINE. She also made appearances for ROH and TNA.
Most recently Deeb had a match against Thunder Rosa on the Sept. 2 episode of AEW Dynamite. She has an upcoming match on AEW Dark scheduled for this Tuesday against KiLynn King.
Congratulations to Serena for officially becoming All Elite.
