Shayna Baszler and Doudrop advance to the semi-finals in the Queen’s Crown Tournament

The first-round came to a close of the Queen’s Crown Tournament on Monday Night RAW with two women advancing to the semi-finals. Doudrop and Shayna Baszler won their respective matches and will face each other in the next round. The winner between them will face the winner of the SmackDown brackets in the finals at Crown Jewel on Oct. 21.

In the first match [under two minutes], Baszler faced Dana Brooke. The two quickly butted heads last week before Doudrop made the save as Baszler was trying to take out Brooke much like she did Nia Jax and Eva Marie weeks prior. Baszler picked up the win after a swift knee kick to get the pin.

The second match [under three minutes] was between Doudrop and Natalya. Doudrop picked up the win after countering the Sharpshooter for a roll-up victory on the veteran.

The semi-final round for the blue brand is this Friday which will be the encounter between Carmella and Zelina Vega who advanced on their side of the bracket. The winner of that match will face either Baszler or Doudrop at Crown Jewel. Baszler vs. Doudrop will take place next week on RAW.

Also on RAW, a tag team match was scheduled between RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair & SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch take on Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair. The match ended in a no-contest after both teams couldn’t agree on who would start the match. WWE Authority Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville attempted to gain control.

Lynch would end the segment by delivering the Manhandle slam to Banks. Lynch and Banks will face off in a non-title match this Friday on a Supersized SmackDown. Then at Crown Jewel, Lynch will defend her title against both Banks and Belair in a Triple Threat.
