Although it is rare for WWE to work with any other wrestling promotion, it has been happening more and more recently. For example, New Japan Pro Wrestling has had recent matches involving WWE talent Karl Anderson as well as Shinsuke Nakamura. NJPW has also started to incorporate STARDOM talent into their shows and even introduced the IWGP Women’s Championship which is currently held by KAIRI.
While speaking with Dark Puroresu Flowsion in an interview, Shayna Baszler stated she would be welcoming to the idea of a WWE/STARDOM crossover.
“I have said many times I would love a match against Giulia or Syrui. I think my ring style works really well with a style like theirs. As for a crossover, one thing in this business I have learned is to never say never.”
Baszler also named Minoru Suzuki as a dream opponent.
Baszler had done some matches in STARDOM before signing with WWE. She had faced both Toni Storm and Io Shirai who held championships for the promotion. Other WWE talent have worked for STARDOM prior to WWE such as Dakota Kai and Doudrop. Xia Brookside from NXT UK is currently working with the STARDOM promotion now as well.
