Shayna Baszler vs. Candice LaRae – NXT on the USA Network, Oct. 2
Candice won a fatal four-way match the previous week to earn the number one contender spot. On the first NXT episode to air on the USA Network the following week Candice would show the never-say-die, bad-assery that we all knew and loved from her indie days.
However, despite all of LeRae’s gusto and tenacity, Baszler was just too strong and put LeRae too sleep. Many fans, even some doubters of Baszler (and she has many) felt LeRae took her to her limits and felt this was one of her best matches.
Well, that’s our list of “The Submission Magician’s” top 5 matches during her impressive one year reign as the two-time NXT Women’s Champion.
