After the attack on Shotzi on the Dec. 9 episode of SmackDown, the talent has confirmed she will be out for six weeks with a broken hand. She was attacked by Shayna Baszler and SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey in the parking lot before the show took place. Her hand was said to be slammed in a car door.
Shotzi recently faced Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a losing effort at Survivor Series WarGames.
Shotzi was set to take on Baszler in a one-on-one match but that would not take place. Instead, Baszler teamed up with Rousey to face Liv Morgan and the returning Tegan Nox. Morgan and Nox picked up the victory which has placed them in a Women’s Tag Team Title match this Friday. Raquel Rodriguez made her way out to the ring to cause the distraction.
Rodriguez has been part of Baszler’s storyline of injuring talent. It started with Natalya‘s broken nose, followed up with Rodriguez’s broken elbow, and now Shotzi’s hand.
