Battle lines were drawn in the main event of this week’s IMPACT.
The October 27 episode was headlined by VXT and Gisele Shaw joining forces to take on the dynamic team of Mickie James, Taylor Wilde, and Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace. VXT and Shaw walked into the bout with one common goal: put an end to Hardcore Country.
The first part of the match saw Wilde mix it up with all three women, which led to her getting beat down. James came in next but found herself in a similar position. The heel trio found a way to distract the ref a few times, which allowed for dirty tactics in their corner. Grace got the hot tag and cleared the ring for a moment before everyone took turns hitting a signature move.
When the heels had control, Shaw became distracted when she grabbed the Knockouts title and posed with it. VXT almost put Mickie away, but Wilde broke it up. Mickie planted Green with a DDT for the three-count to ensure the Last Rodeo rides on.
Earlier on in the night, Tasha Steelz was scheduled to face Rachelle Schele. Steelz hit a few moves before getting on the mic and declaring she’s above this. Savannah Evans came in and clobbered Schele, which caused the disqualification. Steelz and Evans left standing tall.
No Knockouts matches have been confirmed for the November 3 episode, however, we can expect some fallout from the six-woman tag. Chelsea Green, in particular, still wants to end Mickie James.
