WrestleMania 39 has now a third women’s match added to its card as a six-woman tag team match is official. The newly crowned WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Becky Lynch & Lita will team up with Trish Stratus to take on all three members of Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY).
On the March 6 episode of Raw, there was a promo between all six women which ended in Stratus reminding Bayley that it doesn’t take much from her going from being retired to having been retired.
There were two matches on this weeks Raw. The one that was given plenty of time was Bianca Belair vs. Carmella. Carmella had Chelsea Green with her at ringside and the two seemingly are a team. Green did a lot to try and help Carmella to the point that Belair threw her into the time keeper area and also dragged her in the ring. This allowed Carmella to get a near fall victory with a roll up with her feet on the ropes.Belair would eventually deliver the KOD for the victory.
Post-match, Green and Carmella attacked Belair before Asuka came out. She spit the blue mist in the face of Carmella before having a stare down with Belair.
It has been confirmed for next week that Belair will take on Green.
The other women’s match was Piper Niven defeating Nikki Cross in a short match. It was said on commentary that Candice LeRae suffered an injury but it is unsure at this time if it is kayfabe.
Maxxine Dupri and Maximum Male Models are still looking to recruit Otis but promised to bring in Baron Corbin if he defeated Chad Gable. He did not.
There was also a video package for Rhea Ripley.
