WrestleMania is two weeks from this Sunday and let’s see if WWE can right some of its wrongs when it comes to booking Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair for that event.
Banks delivered the first slap at Fastlane after she teamed up with Belair and wasn’t able to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. Hopefully, Belair has something to say in response to her upcoming opponent on tonight’s SmackDown.
There currently isn’t anything advertised for the women tonight on WWE’s official website or social media which is a shame with the biggest event of the year coming up so quickly. We currently have two women’s title matches set – the first was mentioned above for the SmackDown Women’s Title and Asuka will defend her RAW Women’s Title against Rhea Ripley. Will we also see the tag titles on the line?
Now that Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax retained their titles once again, who will step up to them next? From the blue brand it is a good possibility the recent push of Tamina & Natalya will get their opportunity. Other teams such as Naomi & Lana from RAW however have been watching closely as well.
Last week there was a potential tease that Chelsea Green would be returning from her injury. Santana Garrett also was a potential debut that many thought could happen. Will we see any new faces on tonight’s show?
Speaking of Green, she has had a back and forth with Mickie James on Twitter for days now. It was previously rumored that Green and James were going to revive the stalker storyline that James once had with Trish Stratus. However, this time James would play the role Stratus played and Green would be the stalker instead. Is their social media interaction just playful or are we actually going to see this storyline pan out?
