Money in the Bank is a week from this Sunday on July 18 and WWE dropped some major news earlier today. News that no one expected to hear, Bayley will no longer be competing at Money in the Bank due to injury and will be out for approximately nine months. She was scheduled to possibly end her feud with Bianca Belair over the SmackDown Women’s Championship in an “I Quit” Match.
From the announcement by WWE, they state that we will find out tonight who will now challenge Belair for the title at Money in the Bank. WWE Authority Sonya Deville will make the decision tonight.
Moving on to the Money in the Bank Ladder Match itself. We have six out of the eight women confirmed – four from RAW (Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Naomi, Nikki Cross), and two from SmackDown (Carmella, Zelina Vega). Liv Morgan has been on a mission to prove to Deville that she needs to be in the match. Morgan holds two victories over Carmella and last week’s win over Zelina. What more does she have to do to prove her place tonight? Looks like Deville has a busy night on her hands.
The Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina are present for SmackDown as well, will we see them tonight?
